My Datsun roadster is fun to drive.

The engine surges at my command
And the body glistens like sunlite sand,
A chassis solid and well designed
This car is made to leave others behind.

Smoothly through the gears it moves
The tires always right in the groove.
The open air against my face
I cannot think of a better place

As the tachometer soars
The custom exhaust mars,
Peddle to the metal on the road today
Just short of red line some of the way.

At destination Shasta I arrive
To share the pleasures of the drive.
Friendships will begin anew
With fun and food and good cold brew.

Then talk of roadster will fill the time
As Datsun cronies share stories and lime.
At rallies end I must say good-bye
And be off in my Datsun on the fly.
